In one of these traffic incidents, a semi-truck spilled cinder blocks across the 101 Freeway after flipping over.

In a similar incident, a semi-truck driver spilled lumber across I-75. Officials determined that the trucker did not properly secure the lumber, and they issued him a traffic ticket as a result. The trucker himself narrowly avoided injury after some of the lumber smashed through his cab from behind and went through his windshield. This incident could have been much worse, and it is fortunate that no other motorist was impacted by the falling lumber.
Driver Dead After Trucker Pulls Across Multiple Lanes
In another recent incident, a motorist died after slamming into a semi-truck passing across multiple lanes. Officials say that the trucker pulled out of a 7-11 parking lot and attempted to cross the open median. The victim approached in their Chevy Trax, impacting the side of the trailer and becoming lodged underneath.
This underriding collision claimed the victim’s life. Investigators are still trying to learn more about the circumstances of the accident, and they have not yet announced any charges or citations. While criminal charges might not apply in this situation, the trucker may become liable for the crash in civil court. This is because the trucker had to yield the right of way to the approaching motorist when not only pulling out of a parking lot, but also passing across multiple lanes.
